Savoury Oats

Some may think this is an odd one but I promise this can be a nice change from the regular sweet porridge.


  • Oats
  • Liquid of choice (Milk or water)
  • Optional non flavoured protein powder
  • Toppings

Topping suggestions

  • Avocado, almond and chilli
  • Turmeric and Chicken
  • Tomato and Cheddar
  • Peppers, curry powder and peas (Paella style)
  • Mushroom, onion and thyme


  1. Pre cook any toppings of choice, pre cook your chicken or any vegetables such as the peppers or onions and leave to one side.
  2. Add oats, liquid and any seasonings or protein powder to a pan and stir constantly until the oats thicken
  3. Once the oats have cooked add in your toppings and mix throughly so your additions are evenly distributed throughout.
  4. Serve up and demolish as I would say.
