What is it?
Flovibe is a health and wellness festival where ‘retreat meets festival’ . It’s the first year of the festival and allows you to workout, do yoga, go to talks and workshops and also listen to live Dj’s and music. Oh and I forgot to mention the glamping, paddleboarding, massages, cocktail bars and shopping !
There were so many ways to keep active at the event and most were just drop in’s so no need to plan too much in advance. From HITT classes to Core and several different types of yoga. The highlight for me was kicking off my Saturday with a gruelling HITT workout followed by aerial yoga in the air, the coolest way to get your yoga on!
This really was ‘where retreat meets festival’ there were talks going on throughout the day, interactive workshops, meditation sessions and also a variety of treatments including Thai massage, massage and even a retreat for your feet. I took part in a 15 minute Mediation session held on Lululemons ‘om the move’ bus.
We all know I’m a foodie so it was brilliant to see brands embracing healthier choices such as Manilife (AKA Peanut Butter is Life) , the Hazlebury Kitchen delivery healthy cheesecakes, banana bread and brownies and also wildflower with their healthy smoothies. There were lots of other food outlets and shopping stalls to give you plenty of browsing time.
The stage was brilliant with great acoustics and equipment, the music was enjoyable but stuck to one genre and was more alternative. Can’t beat sitting on hay bales and bean bags and relaxing in the sun listening to music with a smoothie or a cocktail.
I had a really fun day at Kelmarsh Hall there was a really friendly vibe about the festival and it was really welcoming. I got take part in workout classes, relax by the river in beautiful surrounds, eat my way through the healthy treats and listen to music what better way to spend your summer? If I hadn’t have been driving I would have fully embraced the cocktail bar too ! All in all this was a brilliant day and I would recommend the festival highly !
I really hope this festival comes back next year bigger and better. I would love to see even more stalls, a greater variety of music and maybe some more dynamic exercise classes thrown in there. I’m excited to see how the festival will grow in the future.
